Job Summary:
About the Role:
The Cluster Analytics Manager holds the responsibility of providing data-driven insights to the sales team by analyzing genre, channel, and client advertising expenditures. These insights empower the sales team to maximize revenue effectively.
Context:
As Star Plus is the top-rated HGEC channel in the country, the business derived from every client is of significant value. Managing Disney Kids channels cluster, leading the genre with 5 channels, requires a strong resource to oversee this portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the formulation of a revenue generation strategy for the channel by offering data-driven insights into channel performance, market dynamics, and industry ad-spend trends.
- Regularly monitor the genre's Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual performance, providing strategic and tactical recommendations to the team for achieving sales targets.
- Facilitate monitoring of client and brand-specific spending on the channel and its competitive channels to assess competitive channel performance within and outside the genre.
- Generate internal review reports and decks as needed periodically to construct the narrative for channel sales performance.
- Collaborate with and assist sales teams in creating client-specific proposals, using data-driven insights to convincingly convey offerings and unique value propositions.
- Enhance dashboards, reports, and metrics to boost revenue opportunities and workforce efficiency.
- Proactively generate and publish periodic channel performance and revenue reports to support the sales force in achieving revenue goals by proactively identifying gaps.
- Contribute to achieving targets through regular reporting, providing data insights for reviews and sales funnels.
Performance Measures:
- Timely and accurate submission of budgets and reforecasts as needed, along with a comprehensive overview of channel performance.
- Presentation of reviews in the required formats.
- Provision of quantifiable inputs that influenced favorable decision-making by clients and shaped strategic direction.
- Identification and highlighting of business opportunities based on data analysis.
Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of total experience in Business Planning/ Strategy / Analytics roles.
- Exposure to the media industry is preferred.
- MBA degree.
