Position: Data Scientist at Myntra - Bengaluru

About the Team

The Myntra Data Science team is dedicated to developing a wide range of data science solutions for the company, which are consistently deployed across various customer touchpoints every quarter. These models make a significant impact on revenue and customer experience. Our solutions encompass real-time, near-real-time, and offline applications with varying latency requirements, all built using extensive datasets. You'll have the chance to delve into the complexities of building models that handle millions of requests per second with sub-second latency. We take pride in deploying solutions that not only leverage state-of-the-art machine learning models like graph neural networks, diffusion models, transformers, representation learning, optimization methods, and Bayesian modeling but also contribute to research literature with multiple peer-reviewed research papers.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop data science and machine learning models for Myntra Storefront, Supply Chain, and other areas.
• Possess a strong grasp of machine learning lifecycles, including model deployments.
• Exhibit theoretical knowledge and practical experience in machine learning, with expertise in topics like NLP, Computer Vision, and Optimization.
• Collaborate with Product and Business teams to transform problems into Machine Learning models.
• Work closely with Platforms and Engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment and integration of predictive models into the systems.
• Collaborate with Data Platforms teams to comprehend and gather necessary data.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and efficient processing of large datasets.
• Proficient in Python or an equivalent programming language.
• Preferred qualifications include individuals with an MTech, MS by Research, or PhD in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering, or a postgraduate degree in Statistics, Operations Research, or Mathematics.
• Having authored publications is a plus.
• Additional skills in general Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including:
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP): Ability to develop models for understanding and generating human language.
  • Computer Vision: Familiarity with computer vision techniques for interpreting images and videos, including object identification and classification.
  • DevOps: Awareness of DevOps principles and practices for deploying and managing machine learning models in production environments.
  • LLM and GenAI Models: Understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and other Generative AI (GenAI) models, including prompt engineering, model evaluation, optimization, and deployment.
• Domain Knowledge: Expertise in a specific industry or field that aids in better understanding data and business needs.
• Ethical Data Science: Awareness of ethical considerations in data science, encompassing privacy, bias, and fairness.
• Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and designers.
