The Opportunity:

We are seeking ambitious and agile data scientists to join our team, providing the opportunity to work on some of the world's most challenging machine learning and big data platforms. Our systems process approximately 600 billion events daily and make around 5 billion predictions.

As a member of the Data Science and Machine Learning (AI/ML) team, you will encounter real-world challenges, including dynamic pricing, real-time customer intent prediction, search result ranking for maximizing lifetime value, content classification, deep learning from unstructured data (such as images and text) for personalization, innovative algorithm-supported promotions and products for supply partners, insights discovery from big data, and enhancement of the user experience. You will have the privilege to work on one of the world's largest ML infrastructures, featuring dozens of GPUs working in parallel, over 30,000 CPU cores, and 150TB of memory.

In This Role, You'll Get to:

• Design, code, experiment, and implement models and algorithms to enhance the customer experience, supply-side value, business outcomes, and infrastructure readiness.
• Mine vast datasets, including hundreds of millions of customers and over 600 million daily user-generated events, supplier and pricing data, to uncover actionable insights that drive improvements and innovation.
• Collaborate with developers and various business owners to deliver daily results of the highest quality.
• Research, discover, and implement new ideas that can make a difference.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• 4+ years of hands-on data science experience.
• Exceptional understanding of AI/ML/DL and Statistics, coupled with coding proficiency using related open-source libraries and frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python, PySpark, and/or Scala.
• Ability to lead, work independently, and play a pivotal role in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a multicultural work environment.

It's Great if You Have:

• A PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or other quantitative fields.
• Experience in NLP, image processing, and/or recommendation systems.
• Hands-on experience in data engineering, working with big data frameworks like Spark/Hadoop.
• Experience in data science for e-commerce and/or OTA.
