As a Product Manager within Uber's FinTech team, you will spearhead the product strategy for managing all financial transactions on a global scale, handling everything from debits and credits for billions of trips!

What the Candidate Will Do:
- Provide day-to-day technical and design guidance.
- Demonstrate the ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Strategic Finance, and Uber business units to automate revenue and cost accounting, asset and liability tracking for all platform activities.
- Devise a multi-year revenue systems strategy encompassing Uber's Mobility, Delivery, and Payments initiatives.
- Collaborate with Engineering leadership and UI/UX experts to execute the strategy, delivering value with each project milestone. Assess success using KPIs established within Revenue systems.
- Offer strategic and operational direction to a talented team of Application Developers.
- Evaluate and make decisions regarding buying or building products in the Revenue domain.
- Lead large cross-functional teams in the end-to-end delivery of large-scale projects, from conceptualization to deployment, and effectively advocate the product vision.
- Develop a profound understanding of revenue, billing, and invoicing processes and data flows to facilitate communication, assessment, and prioritization with partners.
- Execute a substantial portfolio of projects supporting various products and partners.
- Ensure the financial systems in scope are designed and developed with appropriate automated controls to ensure SOX compliance, regulatory tax compliance, and segregation of duties, along with access controls.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in software engineering/development (covering backend, full-stack, mobile, machine learning, cloud computing, etc.).
- Over 6 years of experience in constructing, scaling, and delivering highly successful and innovative financial systems.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficiency in one or more of the following: Cloud infrastructure, software as a service, big data, security and privacy, development and operations, or artificial intelligence/machine learning.
- Familiarity with various functional areas like Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance, or Accounting.
- Understanding of distributed systems, stream processing, data modeling, and APIs (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.).
- Comfortable handling solutions for processing extensive volumes of data.
- Proficiency with SQL and open-source database technologies (e.g., Hive, Presto).
- Experience in Revenue Accounting, Billing, and Accounts Receivables.
- Experience working with global public companies is highly advantageous.
- Strong technical acumen and deep understanding of Accounting processes, particularly in the revenue, billing, and invoicing domain.
- Expertise in Financial Systems and revenue management products.
- A proven track record of hiring, building, and training teams of Product Managers and Business Analysts to deliver top-quality products.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee financial systems from inception through to requirements, design, development, and post-production support.
