Job Description
As a Product Manager -II in the role of "Customer Delight (Innovation, TCDs)," you will play a pivotal part in our journey to create a delightful trading experience for our customers. You will take ownership of enhancing the customer experience by addressing their daily trading challenges. This role entails understanding customer pain points, crafting workflows, and collaborating closely with engineering and design teams. Additionally, as a "Product Manager - Revenue (Direct revenue driver)," you will be instrumental in shaping Upstox's growth story. You will work on activating customers by developing user-friendly and profitable tools and features for discovering trading opportunities, ultimately contributing to faster and smarter trading journeys.
Role & Responsibilities:
As a PM-II, you'll be expected to fulfill the following scope of responsibilities:
Insight-Driven: a. Stay customer-focused and engage with customers to gain deeper insights. b. Collaborate effectively with Researchers to define and validate problem areas. c. Utilize data insights to evaluate and inform decision-making processes. d. Understand and use key usage metrics to inform decision-making. e. Proactively identify metrics for tracking and measuring customer and business benefits. f. Stay informed about competitors and industry developments in your use case area.
Strategy: a. Take responsibility for shaping the product area strategy with support from a manager. b. Own the team's roadmap, developing a point of view based on roadmap inputs. c. Create a clear and logical rationale aligned with the product area strategy for easy consumption. d. Establish alignment within the team and with critical stakeholders, gaining team buy-in on the strategy and roadmap rationale.
Execution: a. Provide clarity when articulating the problem and aligning the team. b. Actively contribute to exploring multiple solutions to the problem statement. c. Consistently run efficient and effective betas, enabling teams to adapt quickly to results. d. Collaborate with PMM to define the Interstory, launch plans, pricing, and packaging approach.
Driving Outcomes: a. Ensure high product quality with minimal bugs and issues, actively contributing to feature QA. b. Demonstrate meaningful impact on customers and our business.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold an Engineering and/or Management degree from a premier institute.
- Possess over 4 years of overall experience in Product Management, Engineering, or Consulting.
- Hold 2 or more years of experience in the fintech domain (a plus).
- Experience in the B2C segment.
- Exhibit strong people management skills.
- Ability to conceptualize, manage, and prioritize tasks.
- Communicate effectively across teams, with excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
