About You: Our data engineers are versatile professionals who work with data in various capacities. They source, prepare, and move large volumes of data for use by various stakeholders, engaging in activities like understanding data requirements, identifying data sources and destinations, implementing data transformations, ensuring proper usage of source data systems, building ETLs and data pipelines, automating processes, and guaranteeing high availability and alerting mechanisms. Additionally, data engineers fine-tune data movement mechanisms to meet operational requirements, and they may design target data models. In our cloud-based environment, data engineers are involved in platform engineering and architecture to support machine learning operations. Due to the high volume of data requests, data engineers also assist with data queries and dashboarding using tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
Qualifications: You are an ideal candidate for this role if you possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in the data science domain.
- A degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, etc.).
- Proficiency in both technical and business aspects.
- Technical skills including the ability to translate business requirements into technical data requirements.
- Experience with data in specific domains (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support).
- Advanced knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., FiveTran, dBT, Informatica).
- At least 2 years of experience with Snowflake, with Snowflake Certification preferred.
- Proficiency in SPARK/EMR, Big Data, optimized data model building, optimization techniques, machine learning model integration, and PowerBI/Tableau.
- Expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with data modeling (relational models and Star Schema).
- Knowledge of data preparation, transformation, and processing at scale.
- Ability to fine-tune and automate data pipelines handling large volumes of data.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services and tools (Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, etc.).
- Expertise in Python.
- Proficiency in visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- At least 2 years of experience in Machine Learning Operations in an AWS environment.
- Experience tuning SQL queries and writing stored procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from a reputable institution (BS in Computer Science preferred).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Consulting experience with a premier consulting firm.
- Knowledge of Machine Learning.
- General aptitude for software development.
- Previous experience as a Database Administrator.
