Job Summary
The primary objective of this role is to deliver advanced analytical expertise in support of data science initiatives. The position offers exposure to various areas, including, but not limited to: predictive modeling, personalization and recommendation algorithms, natural language processing and text mining, search recall, precision, ranking, and related challenges, as well as optimization and mathematical programming with applications in labor scheduling, inventory and capacity planning, network flows, and supply chain optimization.
A Senior Data Scientist tackles intricate problems that lack established solutions in the research domain. As such, the individual in this role must be a recognized expert in their field and capable of confidently interacting with stakeholders and proposing innovative solutions to business challenges. This position significantly influences the thought processes and methodologies employed by other team members.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or a related quantitative analytic field (or equivalent work experience in a related field), along with 4 years of experience in analytics and 2 years of programming experience (Python, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.), OR
- A Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or a related quantitative analytic field, along with 2 years of experience in analytics and 1 year of programming experience (Python, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.), OR
- A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or a related quantitative analytic field, along with 1 year of experience in analytics.
In addition:
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of various statistical modeling or machine learning techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or a related quantitative analytic field.
- 3 years of experience conducting large-scale enterprise predictive analytics.
- 3 years of industry experience in data science or advanced analytics.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Programming experience (Python, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.).
- Experience with multiple data systems and sources (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Aster, Teradata, etc.).
