Team Summary:
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, committed to serving clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants, by addressing their strategic challenges related to performance and profitability. VCA leverages expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operations, and macroeconomics to drive high-impact, tangible financial results.
As a Senior Manager, Data Science, you will be part of the VCA Data Science geographic team cluster for India and South Asia (INSA) markets. Your role involves supporting data science initiatives with Visa's clients, including merchants. The team offers an array of consulting services and data-driven solutions addressing unique challenges in areas like strategic growth, profitability, risk management, digital strategy, and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and deliver data science engagements for India and South Asia clients and merchants using Visa data.
- Develop new data products and solutions for merchants that can be sold to them, both bespoke and scalable data solutions.
- Provide data insights to the INSA leadership team to help drive overall revenue, cross-border spending, and affluent spending.
- Collaborate with Visa's Asia Pacific Internal Analytics Team on workstreams and best practices.
- Storyboard insights from the dashboards and identify opportunities.
- Effectively communicate findings, recommendations, and data-driven insights to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure consistency, standards, and quality control of deliverables, with up-to-date coding and project documentation.
- Understand client business requirements and perform end-to-end scoping for project deliverables.
- Assist in pitching solutions to various clients and resolve queries promptly.
- Explore opportunities for innovation using Visa data, client data, and non-traditional data to address clients' needs.
- Build and lead a highly motivated, engaging, and result-oriented team.

Qualifications:
What you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (a Master's degree would be advantageous) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in data-based quantitative analysis.
- Proficiency with Hive, SQL, Python, Spark, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve business problems with data.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
- Display full accountability and the ability to manage end-to-end deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Previous experience in people leadership.
- Willingness to travel 20% or more.
