Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in an analytics or data scientist role.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with diverse data sets for generating reporting and insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Sales or Customer Service environment.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as R and Python, and expertise in techniques like experimental analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights through effective communication.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Comfortable with engineering practices related to analytical accuracy, including the development of BRDs/PRDs/Design Docs, code check-ins, and code reviews.
About the Role: The gTech Product and Tools Operations team (gPTO) is dedicated to innovating Google's Ads products, making them intuitive and user-friendly to the extent that they require minimal support. Working closely with gTech’s Support, Professional Services, Product Management, and Engineering teams, gPTO aims to simplify Ads products and build a robust productivity tools ecosystem for gTech users.
The Data, Architecture, Tools and Analytics (gDATA) team, a part of gPTO, supports the gTech Ads organization by managing and leveraging large datasets to solve complex analysis problems. The team excels in providing operational analytics and reporting, combining analytical excellence with a deep understanding of business strategies and operations to facilitate smart decision-making within gTech and the Ads ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Provide data-driven insights and analytical support for the gTech Ads organization.
- Focus on solving strategic and operational problems by working with extensive data sets, conceptualizing and building analytical solutions, generating actionable recommendations, and influencing crucial business decisions.
