Role: As a Senior Software Engineer for Data, you will play a key role in Blink Engineering's mission to develop trusted, highly observable, data-driven products for affordable and accessible healthcare in the United States. This position involves designing and building the next generation of data tools and frameworks, developing and maintaining data products and infrastructure, and setting high standards for code quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively analyze production data warehouse support trends, implementing short- and long-term solutions.
  • Design for data integrity, reliability, and performance.
  • Set and uphold standards for clean and correct code, conducting peer code and architecture reviews.
  • Be a thought leader within the data engineering team, contributing to the design and construction of advanced data tools and frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain data products and infrastructure.

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering basics, dimensional modeling, distributed data processing, incremental data ingestion, data streaming, IOC (Terraform), and DevOps (Docker & Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in writing optimized SQL queries across data sets.
  • Building and maintaining robust and scalable data integration (ETL) pipelines using SQL, Databricks, Python, and Spark.
  • Designing and maintaining columnar databases (Data Warehouse Maintenance).
  • Expertise in distributed data processing (Hadoop, Databricks/Spark, Hive).
  • Experience with ETL using batch and streaming (Airflow, RDBMS, Databricks/Spark, and DBT).
  • Integration and design for Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, QuickSight).
  • Creation of scalable data models for analytics.
  • Experience in designing and refactoring large enterprise data warehouses and associated ETLs.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science or related field.
