About the Opportunity:
Ericsson is seeking a talented Data Scientist to provide leadership in data science initiatives. The ideal candidate will excel in analyzing and recommending design considerations for scalability, performance, streaming, and algorithmic complexity of solution components. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for converting data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Identify probable features and further needs of inputs through feature engineering and feature selection, as well as engineering network architecture.
- Select hypothesis sets and evaluate alternatives, actively participating in understanding and brainstorming business scenarios and available data to formulate hypotheses.
- Create use cases from data, assess the architectural impacts of proposed use cases, and define success criteria and inputs needed for analysis.
- Develop data sources and approaches for wrangling data and creating data pipelines.
- Introduce new employees to available data infrastructure, enhance data science experiments utilizing fully available resources, and explore new possibilities.
- Contribute to the evolution of data science infrastructure and tools for Ericsson Data Science environments.
- Act as the main author for external publications to showcase Ericsson's technical leadership to customers and the research society.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics with 1+ years of experience.
- Expertise in forecasting, classification, data/text mining, NLP, decision trees, adaptive decision algorithms, random forest, search algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning algorithms.
- Proficiency in predictive and prescriptive analytics, web analytics, parametric and non-parametric models, regression, time series, dynamic/causal model, statistical learning, guided decisions, and topic modeling.
- Experience with big data analytics, including identifying trends, patterns, and outliers in large volumes of data.
- Strong coding skills in Python, PySpark, and familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, Spark.
- Familiarity with GCP and real-time data ingestion.
- Ability to propose data science solutions, conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), perform model prototyping, visualize data, and interpret results based on requirement analysis.
