We are seeking a dedicated Software Programmer Analyst to collaborate with business and operations teams, gathering ship carrier requirements and seamlessly integrating new carriers and shipping methods into our network. Your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining transportation documents like shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices. Additionally, you'll work on various Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, contributing to software updates/enhancements, automating manual configuration processes, and documenting system functionalities.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and operations to gather ship carrier requirements.
- Work closely with transportation technology teams to integrate new carriers and ship methods into the network.
- Design, develop, and maintain transportation documents, including shipping labels, carrier electronic manifests, and invoices.
- Contribute to Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects.
- Update and enhance existing software.
- Automate manual configuration processes.
- Document system functionalities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong focus on CS Fundamentals: Data Structures, Algorithms, Problem Solving, and Coding.
- 0 to 2 years of relevant engineering work experience.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java (preferred), C++, or C#, or scripting languages like SQL, Perl, Python, XML, or Ruby.
- Ability to write clean code for basic data structures problems and algorithms.
- Familiarity with software engineering best practices: design, testing, version control, documentation, build, deployment, and operations.
- Ability to read and interpret complex code, debug, and troubleshoot application-level issues.
- Capability to identify problems before they occur and implement preventive solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting skills for medium to complex issues.
- Exposure to AWS Technologies, such as AWS S3, Dynamo DB, etc.
