Overview:
Join Chewy's Healthcare Analytics Team as a Business Intelligence Engineer III, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering scalable data infrastructure, creating self-serve analytics tools, and leveraging data visualizations to unlock valuable insights. Collaborate with Product leaders, IT software and data engineers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to anticipate and address the organization's data infrastructure and tooling needs. As a key member in a dynamic environment, you'll utilize technical solutions to transform raw data into actionable insights for new businesses and features.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement data solutions:
- Develop solutions tailored to business needs, covering data lakes, analytics tools, and a progressive technical stack.
- Construct experiments, measurement frameworks, and collaborate with Product, Tech, and business leaders to extract insights from product launches and feature changes.
Optimize and maintain data architecture:
- Develop, optimize, and maintain data architecture and pipelines adhering to ETL principles and business goals.
- Assess data needs for Healthcare and related functions, partnering with technical teams for proof of concepts, QA data sources, and new data tables.
Automation and distribution:
- Lead efforts to automate data extraction and report distribution to multiple stakeholders.
- Own and enhance metrics documentation and data governance.
Analytics product roadmaps:
- Construct and deliver analytics product roadmaps, providing insightful and user-friendly dashboards for internal and external customers.
Change management and collaboration:
- Collaborate with IT teams for downstream impact analysis and own change management communication for Healthcare data sources.
- Document technical details using industry standard protocols such as Jira and Confluence.
Monitoring and proposing improvements:
- Proactively monitor existing metrics, propose new metrics, and collaborate across the organization to deliver actionable intelligence.
Requirements:
Technical Expertise:
- Proven experience analyzing clickstream data from platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe, Segment, or others.
- Strong understanding and experience leading experiment design, A/B testing, and other frameworks for evaluating feature and product changes.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 7+ years automating data processes, developing dashboards, and building scalable analytics solutions in ecommerce, omni-channel, or retail settings.
- 5+ years managing ETL or data transformation processes, technical architecture documents, and delivering new or enhancing existing data warehouses.
- 5+ years working with data platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Vertica, or other RDB.
- Strong SQL knowledge and ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
- Programming expertise in Java, Python, Scala, or another modern language.
- Proven experience building self-serve BI solutions and automated reports enabling alerting and data quality monitoring.
- Ability to tailor analytics products to meet customer needs using tools ranging from Excel to Tableau.
- Experience with data modeling in large Data warehousing/data lake environments.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, experienced in leading change management processes.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality and insightful data visualizations, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Exemplary stakeholder management and prioritization skills.
- Thorough understanding of Financial KPIs and P&L statements.
- Superior attention to detail and experience building processes to validate data integrity.
- Proven experience leading teams and delivering results in ambiguous and resource-constrained environments.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
