Position Overview

Lead Data Scientist R&D - Engineering Bangalore

Acqueon is in search of a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Data Scientist. This hybrid role combines expertise in Data Engineering, ML Ops, and Data Science. As the Lead Data Scientist, you will be at the forefront of working with bleeding-edge AI models, Large Language Models (LLMs), and establishing pipelines for their training and fine-tuning. Your role is pivotal in optimizing and scaling models to ensure efficient deployment and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration and Integration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, ML Ops specialists, and fellow data scientists, to develop and implement cutting-edge AI models and solutions.
  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, specifically in LLMs, and assess their potential applications to address our business needs.

• Pipeline Development:

  • Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for training, fine-tuning, and deployment of AI models, ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability.
  • Develop strategies to optimize and scale AI models for efficient and high-performance deployment, considering computational resources, latency, and scalability.

• Data Analysis and Insights:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights that can drive actionable business decisions and enhance the performance of AI models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into data science projects, and develop innovative solutions that address key challenges and opportunities.

• Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to foster professional growth and ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

• Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. Master's or Ph.D. degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a data scientist, data engineer, or in a related role, with a strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Extensive hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI models, LLMs, and setting up end-to-end data pipelines for training and fine-tuning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, along with experience in libraries and frameworks for machine learning and data processing (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Spark).

• ML Ops and Analytical Skills:

  • Solid understanding of ML Ops principles, including model versioning, reproducibility, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets to derive meaningful insights.

• Communication and Leadership:

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience, including the ability to lead and mentor a team of data scientists, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
