Boeing Global Services Digital Solutions Team:
The Boeing Global Services Digital Solutions team is currently in search of a Lead Data Scientist to join their Bengaluru team. As a Lead Technical Product Owner - Simulation, this role is part of the BDAS-India team, which focuses on developing software applications and products that bring direct value to customers. The team emphasizes re-vamped work environments with a focus on delivering data-driven solutions at an accelerated pace compared to traditional development methods. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate and motivated team excited to utilize the latest software technologies for modern web and mobile application development. Position Responsibilities:
- Engage in the Airline Disruption Management system and aeronautical data using AI/ML and engineering data analytics for aerospace applications.
- Optimize workflow in processing aeronautical and airline operational data.
- Develop innovative, nonstandard approaches for knowledge discovery and parametric trending of structured and unstructured data, providing concrete information to enhance aircraft and fleet efficiency.
- Implement data visualization techniques and create data dashboards for an interpretable representation of raw data and analysis results. Programming in languages such as Python and R, and developing applications using tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Work with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
- Work in an Agile Scrum team, following best practices such as Test-driven development and Pair Programming/Peer Reviews.
- Be a skilled, highly professional engineer, collaborating with an international team comprising software development, product management, and business analysis.
- Support training plans to upskill the capability of teams across BDAS.
- Be highly passionate and innovative in solving problems for airline, airspace, and airport operations.
- Provide periodic updates to Boeing management through progress reports, project summaries, and related documents. This position is also responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations worldwide.
- Travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- A Bachelor’s Degree with 13 to 16 years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 12 to 15 years of experience is a must.
- 7 to 12 years of overall work experience in data analytics and machine learning algorithm development and testing.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or other closely related fields.
- Must have some degree of knowledge of a variety of mathematical modeling and simulation techniques, including Discrete Event Simulation, Agent Based Modeling and Simulation, algorithm development, and numerical techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- The candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
- Must be an excellent team player.
Desired Technical Skills:
- Expertise in building and productizing Machine Learning/Deep Learning models.
- Expertise in working with one or more deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch.
- Must have programming experience in Python, C++, MATLAB.
- Demonstrated capability to apply sophisticated visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI.
Typical Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree with 13 to 16 years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 12 to 15 years of experience is a must.
