The Role:
As a Senior Analytics Specialist, you will be a crucial member of Razorpay's central analytics team. Your responsibilities will revolve around handling extensive, intricate datasets, developing a profound understanding of the business and product, and actively participating in the product life cycle.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Work with large, complex datasets to address open-ended, high-impact business problems through data mining, experimentation, statistical analysis, and relevant techniques, including machine learning when necessary.
- Cultivate a robust understanding of the business and product, conducting analyses to derive insights, formulate hypotheses, and validate using rigorous methodologies or prepare problems for modeling with machine learning.
- Apply exceptional problem-solving skills to independently scope, deconstruct, and formulate solutions from first principles, offering an outside-in and state-of-the-art perspective.
- Actively engage in the product life cycle, participating in ideation, reviewing Product Requirement Documents, defining success criteria, instrumenting product features, conducting impact assessments, and identifying recommendations for product feature enhancements.
- Streamline root cause analyses/insight generation for recurring use cases through automation and self-serve platforms.
- Develop compelling narratives with business insights, aligning with the strategic goals of the organization.
- Collaborate with Business, Product, and Data engineering teams for ongoing improvements in data accuracy through feedback and scoping on instrumentation quality and completeness.
- Set high standards in project management, taking ownership of scope and timelines for the team.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field.
- 2-4 years of high-quality, hands-on experience in analytics and data science.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Define business and product metrics for evaluation, collaborate with engineering on data instrumentation, create and automate self-serve dashboards using tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Looker, etc.
- Ability to structure and analyze data using techniques like Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA), Cohort analysis, Funnel analysis, and transform findings into understandable and actionable recommendations, effectively communicating them across the organization.
- Hands-on experience working with large-scale structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data, employing various approaches to preprocess/cleanse data and dimensionality reduction.
- Work experience in Consumer-tech organizations would be an advantageous asset.
- Develop a clear understanding of the qualitative and quantitative aspects of the product/strategic initiative, leveraging it to identify and act upon existing gaps and opportunities.
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing, Significance testing, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, Web Analytics, and Statistical Learning.
