Job Description:

Position Summary:

Join the Product Engineering Team(s) at BlackBerry | QNX as an intern and gain exposure to the QNX Real-Time Operating System and Hypervisor. Work on developing, designing, testing, and analyzing various aspects of RTOS and other components, including Cloud enablement and reducing developer friction at the Center of Excellence in Hyderabad. This internship offers the chance to write software requirements, automation scripts, and participate in design discussions.

Length of Term: 6 months

BSP Development (What You Will Do):

• Build and test Board Support Packages for various controllers, including ARM & x86.
• Design and develop device drivers and perform board bring-up for various boards and peripherals.
• Test and automate various test cases using C, Shell scripts, and Python.

Test Engineering (What You Will Do):

• Develop automated tests and write Python code to automate processes for BSP or QNX in the cloud.
• Test the QNX solution, including creating and executing test cases, analyzing results, debugging, and verifying.
• Innovate in automating and accelerating the validation of BSPs for different platforms.

Education Level Required:

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or equivalent/relevant program in:
  • Computer Science
  • Computer Engineering
  • Systems Engineering / Software Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Any other equivalent/relevant Software Engineering program.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Knowledge and interest in operating systems (RTOS).
• Strong proficiency in C, Assembly, and Python programming.
• Familiarity with developing automated tests and testing tools.
• Knowledgeable about AWS or other cloud technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Curious attitude and self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment with excellent time management skills.
