Overview and Responsibilities
We are currently seeking an entry-level data scientist with a passion for data and analytics. The ideal candidate should possess a strong inclination towards detail-oriented analysis while maintaining the ability to grasp the broader perspective. This role requires a profound understanding of modeling techniques and the capability to excel both within a team and independently. The successful candidate will be adept at extracting insights from extensive datasets and effectively communicating relevant findings and recommendations. Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing data-driven solutions to address business challenges using techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Continuously enhancing and showcasing improved analysis methodologies.
- Demonstrating proficiency in modeling and taking ownership of data throughout the conceptualization to execution stages.
- Analyzing business problems, assessing available data, and determining suitable analytics and modeling techniques to address specific business inquiries.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Master's Degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or an MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated comfort and curiosity in handling extensive datasets, with practical experience in predictive modeling.
- Proficiency in either R or Python.
- Experience manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, multi-dimensional data from various sources to identify patterns and relationships.
- Understanding of predictive and machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, random forest, GBM, Neural Nets, SVM, etc.
- Proficiency in database querying tools, with the ability to write complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop/Spark), API Gateways, and non-structured data considered advantageous.
- Ability to articulate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in modeling/machine learning.
- Approximately 4-6 weeks of annual travel to the US may be required.
- Legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship.
- Successful completion of the interview process is mandatory.
- Reliable, punctual attendance is fundamental to the position.
