Job Summary
As a Data Scientist at Lowe's, your primary objective is to furnish advanced analytical capabilities essential for driving data science initiatives forward. In this role, you will collaborate closely with seasoned colleagues to construct user interfaces and devise pioneering solutions, all grounded in meticulous market research. Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse array of domains, including predictive modeling, personalization and recommendation algorithms, natural language processing and text mining, search recall, precision, ranking, optimization, and mathematical programming. These proficiencies are instrumental in addressing various challenges across labor scheduling, inventory and capacity planning, network flows, and supply chain optimization.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates vying for this role must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data or Information Science, or a related quantitative analytic field. Alternatively, equivalent work experience in a relevant field will be duly considered. Additionally, candidates should boast a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in analytics, complemented by 1 year of programming proficiency in languages such as Python, Java, Scala, Rust, etc.

Moreover, candidates should demonstrate proficiency in SQL and various statistical modeling or machine-learning techniques.
Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in performing predictive analytics within a large-scale enterprise setting are highly coveted.
