Role Overview:
We are seeking an entry-level data scientist with a strong passion for data and analytics, capable of both diving deep into details and understanding the big picture. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of modeling techniques, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Implementing data-driven solutions to business challenges using techniques such as data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
- Continuously enhancing analysis methodologies and demonstrating improvements.
- Demonstrating strong modeling skills and taking ownership of data from conceptualization to execution.
- Analyzing business problems and available data to determine suitable analytics and modeling techniques for addressing specific questions.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 2 years of experience in modeling/machine learning
- Demonstrated ability and curiosity to work with large datasets and hands-on experience in predictive modeling
- Proficiency in either R or Python
- Experience in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from multiple sources
- Understanding of predictive and machine learning techniques such as logistic regression, random forest, GBM, Neural Nets, SVM, etc.
- Proficiency in database querying tools and writing complex queries and procedures using Teradata SQL and/or Microsoft TSQL
- Hands-on experience with Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop/Spark), API Gateways, and non-structured data is advantageous
- Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis and algorithms clearly and precisely
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- About 4-6 weeks of travel to the US annually
- Legal authorization to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of the interview process
- Reliable, punctual attendance
Preferred:
- Master's Degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Operations Research, or MBA
