Role Overview
Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist at Tata Technologies, you will be responsible for:
1. Model Development and Deployment
- Designing, developing, testing, validating, and deploying Predictive Analytics/Machine Learning (ML)/Statistical models as part of new product development and/or projects.
- Leveraging machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and programming languages such as Python, R, and Flask to create robust and scalable solutions.
- Utilizing neural networks and other advanced techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
2. Data Visualization and Presentation
- Using data visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI to communicate ongoing insights effectively.
- Presenting findings to technical audiences in a clear and concise manner, facilitating informed decision-making processes.
3. Continuous Learning and Knowledge Sharing
- Staying abreast of the latest developments in ML and Big Data technologies and sharing learnings with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrating exceptional problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of statistical methods to address complex challenges effectively.
4. Analytical Modeling and Forecasting
- Applying machine learning methods such as cluster analysis, decision trees, random forest, and logistic regression to model and predict research outcomes.
- Proficiency in advanced mathematical techniques including correlation, regression, time series analysis, and analysis of variance to forecast outcomes accurately.
5. Data Management and Interpretation
- Experience working with databases such as Teradata, Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL databases, interpreting data, and performing feature engineering and data wrangling tasks.
- Handling both unstructured and structured datasets with finesse, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the analysis process.

- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in programming languages.
- Strong passion for work and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Willingness to work in shifts as required and flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Comfortable working at client sites with an alternate Saturday as the weekly off.
- Basic engineering background with a focus on the automobile domain is preferred.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
