Crafting the Data Solutions & Governance Team
As part of the Data Solutions & Governance team, your responsibilities will entail:
Designing Data Ecosystem Processes
- Devising and architecting strategies for data capture, processing, organization, and utilization within Chegg's Data Ecosystem, elevating data to a primordial status.
Spearheading Data Strategy
- Leading the charge on data platform adoption, facilitating data logging to fuel analytics and expedite scalable, data-centric decision-making processes.
Facilitating Product Launch Success
- Serving as a central conduit between product managers, analytics teams, and product engineers, ensuring seamless product launches by defining instrumentation specifications.
Establishing Data Management Ecosystem
- Pioneering the establishment of a robust data management ecosystem, ensuring data discoverability through streamlined governance components such as Data Catalog, Metadata Management, and Data Quality.
Fostering Self-Service Analytics
- Championing the implementation of self-service analytics tools within Chegg to empower teams and streamline onboarding processes.
Standardizing Business Processes
- Standardizing and streamlining data-related business processes across Chegg, advocating for a unified vision and fostering cross-team collaboration.
Prerequisites for Success
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
Proficiency in Data Operations
- 1-5 years of hands-on experience in data operations encompassing data logging, generation, management, design, governance, and analytics.
Technical Aptitude
- Strong proficiency in SQL and related database platforms/lakes, with a knack for data wrangling.
Collaborative Acumen
- Proven track record of collaborating with diverse teams across domains, driving business processes, and fostering collaboration frameworks.
Automation Expertise
- Demonstrated excellence in automating tasks and processes to enhance efficiency and reduce turnaround time, leveraging various tools and technologies.
Familiarity with Tools & Technologies
- Experience with a range of tools and platforms such as Databricks, Oracle, SQL Server, Amplitude, JIRA, GitLab, among others, pertaining to data analysis, product analytics, data governance, and project management.
