Overview

Global Merchant Services (GMS) strives to revolutionize the landscape of buyer-seller relationships and redefine the reception of American Express. Within GMS, Insights & Analytics endeavors to deliver top-tier analytical solutions, supporting critical priorities, strategic initiatives, and optimizing investments. As part of this team, you'll contribute to enhancing merchant activation, improving Amex acceptance, and driving value for merchants and Card Members.

Your Role

As an Analyst in Data Analytics reporting to the Manager, Merchant Product Analytics, you'll be tasked with creating analytical solutions to enrich merchant profiles and enhance the merchant matching algorithm. Leveraging structured and unstructured data, you'll play a pivotal role in driving business insights and improving merchant engagement.

Responsibilities

• Devise, Design & Develop Solutions: Create customized solutions for marketing initiatives, leveraging the power of closed-loop data within the Amex network.
• Innovation & Optimization: Innovate and optimize approaches using big data and cutting-edge algorithms to enhance merchant features and improve matching accuracy.
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, business statistics, and data mining practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Self-Starter Mentality: Ability to derive insights, drive actionable outcomes, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Thought Leadership: Demonstrate accountability and thought leadership throughout the delivery process.
• Intellectual Curiosity: Display a thirst for knowledge and a willingness to learn quickly.
