Proficiency in SQL: Strong SQL skills are necessary for transforming datasets to meet business requirements efficiently.
Experience managing production data pipelines or warehousing data: Familiarity with modern data warehouse stacks such as dbt, Airflow, Looker, Cloud Composer, BigQuery, or Snowflake is preferred, indicating the ability to handle large-scale data infrastructure.
Excellent communication skills: The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial for gathering requirements, driving adoption of solutions, and presenting insights derived from data analysis.
Project management skills: Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, apply initiative, creativity, and problem-solving to identify solutions, and meet business needs.
Client-facing experience: Experience in developing dashboards or performing analyses in a client-facing analyst role is preferred, highlighting the candidate's ability to deliver insights tailored to specific audiences.

Responsibilities
Building and Maintaining Internal Reporting Pipelines and Dashboards
- Develop and maintain internal reporting pipelines and dashboards for People Operations, including troubleshooting, development, and access controls.
- Write advanced SQL queries, configure systems, and execute project plans to ensure the availability, accuracy, and security of data.
Designing Solutions for Complex Metrics and Business Requirements
- Design new solutions and processes to translate complex metrics and business requirements into formats suitable for quick and accurate data analysis.
- Interact with internal users to define requirements, socialize designs, and test solutions to ensure they meet business needs.
Providing User Support and Training
- Provide user support and training on the team's data product portfolio to ensure stakeholders can effectively utilize data-driven insights.
- Fulfill ad hoc data requests not served by standard dashboards or business analysts, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to evolving needs.
Contributing to Data Infrastructure Development
- Work collaboratively with analysts and engineers to shape and drive the development and application of Google's internal data infrastructure, including warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.
- Contribute to the development of the BI team's tools, skills, culture, and impact, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
