Profile overview

As a Data Scientist at Micron Technology, you'll play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive insights and innovation. Key responsibilities include:

Analyzing and applying machine learning techniques to large and diverse datasets.
Proficiency in statistical modeling and feature extraction.
Data extraction from various databases using SQL and other query languages.
Data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques.
Strong software development skills.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Familiarity or willingness to learn advanced analytical methods and tools such as Python, R, pySpark, SparkR, SparklyR, Hadoop, Teradata, TensorFlow, SSIS, ETL, Javascript, AngularJS 2.0, and Tableau.
Experience with time-series data, images, semi-supervised learning, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is advantageous.
Exposure to relevant industry conferences and publications is a plus.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

A strong desire to pursue a career as a Data Scientist, particularly in industrial manufacturing.

Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques.
Experience with data extraction, cleansing, and analysis.
Strong software development skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Familiarity or willingness to learn various analytical tools and programming languages such as Python, R, pySpark, SparkR, SparklyR, Hadoop, Teradata, TensorFlow, SSIS, ETL, Javascript, AngularJS 2.0, and Tableau.
Previous exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and industry conferences/publications is advantageous.
