Profile Overview
Role Summary: The Data and AI/ML Specialist at INRM Consultants will work on data and AI/ML-driven projects that address pressing issues in environmental management, climate science, and water resources.
- Develop AI/ML models, using physics-based and data-driven techniques, aimed at hydrological modeling and climate impact assessments.
- Build Early Warning Systems (EWS) utilizing supercomputing, data assimilation, and machine learning techniques.
- Analyze both structured and unstructured data sources such as satellite imagery, sensor data, and field data to derive actionable insights.
- Produce high-quality documentation including reports, proposals, and presentations.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Collaborate across various disciplines to incorporate diverse perspectives in project planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Model creation for global to local scales in climate and environmental contexts.
- Use advanced tools and methodologies to predict natural hazards and optimize resource allocation.
- Generate client-focused presentations and proposals.
- Ensure alignment with project timelines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Manage and support project assignments, traveling as needed for project-specific work.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Mathematical Computing, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Machine Learning (ML)
- Water Resources, Disaster Management, Climate Science, or Geoinformatics with a focus on data-intensive applications.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in analytical tools and frameworks.
- Capable of creating, refining, and deploying models for environmental data interpretation.
- Familiarity with supercomputing and data assimilation methods.
- High proficiency in documentation and data presentation.
- Additional Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to adapt to new areas and learn additional skills as needed.
- Capacity for independent project management and collaborative teamwork.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as required for project implementations.
