Role Summary:
- As an Analytics Associate, the role centers on supporting the Home Lending Business Insights and Reporting team, focused on delivering project outputs aligned with business needs.
- Key responsibilities include handling data-driven projects and generating insights that contribute directly to the company's strategic decisions.
- The associate will work with tools like Tableau, SQL, Power BI, and Excel to create insightful reports and actionable analytics.
- Strong familiarity with US Home Mortgage Servicing is necessary, and experience with additional tools such as Alteryx and Qlik Sense is advantageous.
- The role demands a detail-oriented professional adept at troubleshooting, problem-solving, and enhancing process accuracy.
Core Functions:
- Translating business problems into analytics solutions using data research skills.
- Developing both standard and ad hoc reports to support informed decision-making.
- Participating in cross-functional projects, supporting technical design, data research, and report preparation.
- Ensuring process efficiency and risk mitigation through effective policy and control measures.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 6+ months in an analytics role, or equivalent experience from work, education, or military background.
- Proficiency in Tableau for creating and managing dashboards with navigable features.
- SQL knowledge, including data structuring and temporary table creation for business intelligence (BI) purposes.
- Strong documentation skills, especially for queries and testing requirements.
- Detail-oriented and professional in interacting with all levels of team members and management.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
- Familiarity with SAP BO (Business Objects) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Certifications in BI reporting, data management, or data engineering would be beneficial.
- Background in home lending processes across operations, sales, servicing, and risk management.
- Experience in Tableau Prep or Alteryx is a plus.
