Profile Overview
The Business Analyst for WHS Data plays a pivotal role in Amazon’s Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team. This position requires analytical expertise to support the data and reporting needs of the Safety Performance Insights (SPI) BI team within the WHS organization.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and project managers to generate insights and conduct deep dives into key metrics.
- Provide reporting solutions that enhance workplace safety and drive compliance with global regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement SQL-based solutions, integrating diverse datasets for actionable insights.
- Create high-quality deliverables, working with senior team members to meet stakeholder expectations.
- Ensure clear communication with customers and stakeholders, including updates on project roadmaps and product releases.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL scripting or ETL processes.
- At least one year of experience in using Excel or Tableau, including data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables.
- Ability to define requirements and derive business insights through data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Business Intelligence (BI)
- Finance
- Engineering
- Statistics
- Computer Science
- Mathematics
- Other quantitative fields
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience crafting complex SQL queries involving multiple datasets and understanding ETL/DW concepts.
- Hands-on experience working with databases managing large-scale datasets.
