Profile Overview

The Data Science Internship at Factacy.Ai is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about exploring and solving real-world business challenges through data. This three-month internship offers hands-on experience in data science, machine learning, and analytics while working closely with a dynamic and supportive team. Interns will be tasked with analyzing large and complex datasets, creating impactful visualizations, and developing AI-powered solutions that address key business problems.

The internship provides a unique platform for candidates to refine their technical and analytical skills while gaining exposure to cross-functional collaboration within an organization. Interns will work on tasks such as data cleaning, building data pipelines, and generating performance insights using advanced tools like Python, SQL, Tableau, and Power BI.

In addition to gaining practical experience, interns will have the opportunity to earn certifications in key areas, including Python programming, machine learning, data science, and more. Qualifications

Core Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced Excel: Proficiency in handling large datasets, performing data cleaning, and conducting advanced analysis using Excel functions and tools.
  • Data Analysis and Data Analytics: A strong foundation in analyzing structured and unstructured data to derive actionable insights.
  • Database Management Systems (DBMS): Knowledge of managing databases, querying data efficiently, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Data Science: Understanding of key data science principles, including statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and feature engineering.
  • Machine Learning: Experience or theoretical knowledge in implementing supervised and unsupervised machine learning models to solve business challenges.
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP): Familiarity with NLP techniques for analyzing and processing textual data.
  • Visualization Tools: Proficiency in using Tableau and Power BI to create interactive dashboards and compelling data stories.
  • Programming Languages: Strong skills in Python and SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.

Certifications:

  • Candidates who have earned certifications in Python, SQL, machine learning, data analytics, and related areas will have an added advantage.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Availability: Candidates must be available for a full-time, in-office internship.
  • Start Date: The internship start date must fall between 26th December 2024 and 30th January 2025.
  • Duration: Applicants should be able to commit to the full duration of three months.
  • Relevant Skills: Candidates must demonstrate their proficiency in the required technical skills and showcase a genuine interest in data science.

Key Responsibilities:

Selected interns will be responsible for the following tasks during their tenure at Factacy.Ai:

  1. Data Collection and Pre-Processing:

    • Gathering extensive datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data relevance and accuracy.
    • Cleaning raw data to eliminate inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors.
    • Applying pre-processing techniques to prepare data for analysis.

  2. Data Visualization and Communication:

    • Designing interactive dashboards and visualizations to represent data findings.
    • Presenting insights and analysis effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Leveraging tools like Tableau and Power BI to create impactful visuals.

  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Partnering with teams such as product development, marketing, sales, and DevOps.
    • Understanding the specific business needs of each department and aligning data solutions accordingly.

  4. Building Data Infrastructure:

    • Developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and warehousing systems.
    • Utilizing containers and other tools to ensure data availability for reporting and analysis.

  5. Performance Monitoring and Insights:

    • Tracking key performance metrics to identify trends and improvement areas.
    • Preparing detailed reports and suggestions to optimize business processes.
