Profile Overview
The Data Scientist I role is designed for individuals with a strong technical background in machine learning and data science.
The position involves working within an engineering team to develop and deploy AI-driven models that enhance Blue Yonder’s retail and supply chain solutions.
Responsibilities include processing large-scale datasets, applying deep learning techniques, and ensuring real-time model performance.
The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, and engineering, to align data science initiatives with business objectives.

Qualifications
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of machine learning principles and deep learning techniques.
Proficiency in Python (minimum 1-2 years of experience).
Experience with data science libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Keras, TensorFlow, and Matplotlib.
Hands-on experience with SQL and database query languages.
Familiarity with big data technologies like Snowflake, Apache Beam, Spark, and Databricks.
Exposure to cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Azure.
Knowledge of DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Jira.
Understanding of advanced AI topics, including NLP, reinforcement learning, and optimization techniques.
Preferred Experience:
Experience mentoring junior data scientists.
Knowledge of streaming technologies such as Kafka and distributed databases like Redis and Cassandra.
What You Will Do
Machine Learning Development:
Work independently or with junior data scientists to implement ML models.
Collect and process data from multiple sources, including platform, client, and public datasets.
Perform data enrichment, cleansing, and feature engineering.
Train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models.
Operational Deployment:
Deploy and monitor machine learning models for real-time applications.
Implement runtime monitoring to track model inputs and outputs.
Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain model performance and stability.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Partner with product, sales, and engineering teams to build data-driven solutions.
Participate in client meetings to discuss product functionality and improvements.
Support the development of sales materials and hardware estimation for AI solutions.
Technical Environment:
Utilize Python 3.0, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Spark, and Kubernetes.
Work within a scalable and event-driven microservices architecture.
Operate in cloud environments such as GCP and Azure.
Additional Information
Salary Range:
$85,788 - $108,212 (based on experience and location).
Compensation may include performance bonuses or commission programs.
