As a Data Scientist, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in extracting meaningful insights from vast and intricate datasets.
The position involves data curation, analysis, interpretation, and visualization, alongside clear communication of findings to research teams and executive leadership.

The candidate will be expected to develop systems that ensure data accuracy, monitor data integrity, and oversee the health of data storage systems and live feeds.
The role also includes proactively identifying anomalies in production behavior and effectively communicating these findings to relevant stakeholders.
The candidate will conduct impromptu analyses of research and trading systems and provide valuable insights that contribute to optimizing business strategies.
Through a combination of financial expertise and statistical evaluation, the Data Scientist will enhance the company’s trading and research systems.
The job further entails designing automated analysis pipelines to streamline monitoring and evaluation processes.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement systems for maintaining data accuracy and monitoring the integrity of data sources.
Identify and address irregularities in production systems and effectively relay findings to appropriate stakeholders.
Conduct real-time analyses of research and trading mechanisms, providing leadership with actionable insights.
Utilize financial knowledge and statistical methodologies to extract and leverage key insights from production trading and research operations.
Design and build automated analysis frameworks to optimize ongoing performance monitoring and evaluation.
Qualifications:
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in handling complex datasets, including internships.
Proficiency in end-to-end data processing, including data curation, querying, aggregation, exploratory data analysis, and visualization.
Expertise in statistical methods for analyzing data, detecting patterns, conducting root cause investigations, deriving insights, and proposing solutions.
Strong capability in framing and solving problems mathematically.
Ability to interpret retrospective analyses to generate forward-looking strategies.
Proficiency in managing and visualizing tabular data using SQL, Pandas, and R.
Basic programming and software development skills, including experience with Bash scripting, Linux/Unix environments, and Git version control.
Ability to refine vague requirements into concrete deliverables and produce high-quality reports demonstrating strong communication skills.
A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
A master’s degree in a quantitative discipline is desirable.
Prior experience in the finance sector or demonstrated interest through relevant academic projects, coursework in financial engineering, or industry internships.
Familiarity with development in a production-facing environment and exposure to standard software development concepts such as CI/CD, Git, and workflow automation tools like Airflow.
Additional Information:
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role falls between $150,000 and $190,000, depending on location and various influencing factors.
Individual salaries are determined based on education, experience, skill level, and geographic considerations.
Base salary excludes additional forms of total compensation such as bonuses and other incentives.
